Their approaches in upbringing adolescents have profound impacts on the latter's future. Female adolescent upbringing is highly challenging. They may get pregnant. Those snared get into lifelong difficulties. Some of these entangle themselves. Aretha Franklin and Oprah Winfrey are good examples to emulate. Although caretakers try to protect females against pregnancies, the problem continues to exist. Unfortunately, some teachers and the clergy escalate the problem. We should not be involved.

About the Author

Samuel Lugeiyamu Mutasa, DipEd, Cert. RS, BSc., MSc., is a retired teacher, educationalist, administrator, and scientist. He taught and administered in secondary schools, colleges, and universities, and he was involved in school and college inspection, curriculum development, and examinations for many years. He has been involved in research in natural products related to medicinal and nutritional plants. He has published five papers in international journals and presented his research results at four international symposia. In addition, he was a correspondent of one of the weekly newspapers in Tanzania, writing on medicinal and nutritional plants and education, science and technology policy in Tanzania. These articles contained minimum scientific and technology jargon to allow them to be easily understood by the general public. He has published a book entitled: Brain Storming Benefits of Herbs: Nutritional, Medicinal, and Cosmetic Benefits of Moringa Oleifera, Cnidoscolus Chayamansa, Centella Asiatica, and Bidens Pilosa. He has a solid background of Bible knowledge and comparative religions through taking the subjects “Bible knowledge” at school certificate level and “comparative religions” at university certificate level. His two upcoming books Sustaining Marriages and Child Upbringing use the Bible and other holy books as the main references. He has been involved in community development projects in founding rural and urban nongovernmental secondary schools, founding women development organizations, and in tree planting. He is an activist of women education and development. He is a renowned negotiator for aiding couples to enter into holy matrimony, by being able to cross-cultural barriers among Tanzania tribes in over 150 instances. He has been involved in child upbringing as a parent, a teacher, a community leader, and
as an African extended family member. He has been a counselor in marriage, child, relative, workmate, and friendship issues. He is a godfather of over fifty Christians. He can speak and write English, Swahili, and Haya languages. With limitations, he can speak and write Angaza, Ganda, Gogo, Jita, Kerewe, Kiga, Nyankore, Nyoro, Tooro, and Zinza languages. He has stayed in ten African, six European, three Asian, and two North American countries. He is widowed. He has three daughters, three sons, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He believes in the phrase: “Sharing is caring.” He is a committed Christian.
